Who this is for
Mid-level engineers (typically 2–6 years of experience) who already ship production code and want a credential that recognizes the specific skill of working alongside an AI pair on real engineering tasks.
It is not an entry-level credential. Candidates are expected to be fluent in at least one mainstream stack.
What gets assessed
| Domain | Weight | What we're looking for |
|---|---|---|
| AI-assisted debugging | 30% | Can you reach a defensible root cause faster with AI than without, and explain why? |
| Code review with AI | 25% | Can you identify regressions, silent failures, and architectural drift in AI-generated diffs? |
| Security awareness | 20% | Can you spot the OWASP-class issues that models commonly miss? |
| Design defense | 25% | Can you walk a panel through the decision points in your replay and defend the path you took? |
Format
- A take-home challenge set you complete on the Codritium platform within a 5-day window.
- A 60-minute live replay defense with two Codritium-credentialed engineers.
Renewal
Foundations renews every 24 months via a shorter recertification challenge — because what counts as good AI-assisted engineering will keep moving.
